Louth Schoolgirls League

Louth Schoolgirls League was one of four clubs from the Republic of Ireland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Louth Schoolgirls League, 111 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Louth Schoolgirls League could be found in Group 4 together with Näsets SK 1, Gefle IF White, Ängelholms FF and IK Uppsala Fotboll. Louth Schoolgirls League continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Luleå with 0-1. In the Final, Boo FF won over Northumberland County Schools FA and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Louth Schoolgirls League comes from Dundalk which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Louth Schoolgirls League, the club Ardee Celtic does also originate from the area around Dundalk.
