Ängby IF

Ängby IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Ängby IF, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Ängby IF could be found in Group 17 together with Hoby GIF, Team Odense Q and Dikemark IF. Ängby IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Lindö FF Norrköping with 0-4. In the Final, Stångebro United won over Lindö FF Norrköping and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Ängby comes from Bromma which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bromma does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Hässelby SK FF, IFK Lidingö, Boo FF, Järla IF, EKF Täby, Viginti Quattuor FC, Sigtuna City FK, IFK Haninge, IFK Bergshamra and Rågsveds IF).
