Malmö City FC

Malmö City FC was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Malmö City FC, 193 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Malmö City FC could be found in Group 8 together with Sigtuna City FK, SC Nienstedten and GAIS 1. Malmö City FC continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Fram 2 with 0-1. In the Final, Murchante FC won over IK Östria Lambohov 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 13. Malmö City FC comes from MFC which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around MFC does also provide 36 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: IF Lödde, FC Staffanstorp, Torns IF, Kungsbacka IF, GIF Nike, Furulunds IK, Uppåkra IF, Lunds BoiS/Torns IF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF and Lilla Torg FF).
