IFK Lidingö

IFK Lidingö was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to IFK Lidingö, 212 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof IFK Lidingö could be found in Group 3 together with Keflavik, Ordin FC and Lunds BK. IFK Lidingö continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Irsta IF 1 with 0-3. In the Final, Russell Martin Academy won over SK Sprint-Jeløy 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. IFK Lidingö comes from Lidingö which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lidingö does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Hässelby SK FF, Boo FF, Järla IF, EKF Täby, Viginti Quattuor FC, Sigtuna City FK, IFK Haninge, IFK Bergshamra, Rågsveds IF and Åkersberga FC).
