IFK Lidingö FK

IFK Lidingö FK was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to IFK Lidingö FK, 64 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof IFK Lidingö FK could be found in Group 15 together with Skiljebo SK, SSV Plockhorst and Trosvik IF. IFK Lidingö FK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against FC New England with 3-4. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over BK Häcken 2 and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 17. IFK Lidingö FK comes from Lidingö which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lidingö does also provide 63 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Hässelby SK FF, IFK Lidingö, Boo FF, Järla IF, EKF Täby, Viginti Quattuor FC, Sigtuna City FK, IFK Haninge, IFK Bergshamra and Rågsveds IF).
