Holmalunds IF

Holmalunds IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Holmalunds IF, 212 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Holmalunds IF could be found in Group 34 together with Enskede IK, SC Binningen and MTV Ramelsloh. Holmalunds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Valladolid FC Cancún with 1-2. In the Final, ED Moratalaz won over Lillestrøm SK 2 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Holmalunds comes from Alingsås which lies approximately 42 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Alingsås does also provide 40 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Kärra KIF, Vårgårda IK, Älvängens IK, Nödinge SK, Sävedalens IF, Qviding FIF, Partille IF, Bjärke, Ytterby IS and Lerums IS).
