Hönö IS

Hönö IS was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Hönö IS, 81 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Hönö IS could be found in Group 5 together with IF Lödde, Seacoast United and KA 2. Hönö IS continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against FC Nokia Valkoinen with 0-1. In the Final, KFV Segeberg won over Jitex BK 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Hönö IS comes from HÖNÖ which lies approximately 18 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around HÖNÖ does also provide 77 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Lundby IF, Hermansby IF, Kärra KIF, Mölnlycke IF, Proletären FF, Nödinge SK, Orust FC, Sävedalens IF, Lunden ÖBK and V. Frölunda IF).
