Vårgårda IK

Vårgårda IK was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Vårgårda IK, 156 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 39 different groups, whereof Vårgårda IK could be found in Group 22 together with GAIS Green, US Montesson and ACOS Treviglio. Vårgårda IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against SC Nienstedten with 0-1. In the Final, Kista SC won over Pozzuolo Calcio 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Vårgårda comes from Vårgårda which lies approximately 61 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vårgårda does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Holmalunds IF, Bjärke, Norrby IF, Toarpsalliansen, Alingsås KIK, Bergdalens IK, Alingsås IF, Gerdskens BK, Floda BoIF and IF Elfsborg).
