Lundby IF

Lundby IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Lundby IF, 71 other teams from 12 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Lundby IF could be found in Group 14 together with TSV Altenholz, IFK Skövde 2 and Götaholm BK. Lundby IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Norrala IF with 0-1. In the Final, Eskilsminne IF won over AS Meudon and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Lundby comes from Gltebor which lies approximately 2 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gltebor does also provide 66 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Älvängens IK, Ytterby IS, Qviding FIF, Askims IK, Stenkullen GoIK, Jonsereds IF, Sandarna BK, IK Zenith, Grunden Bois and Utbynäs SK).
