Öckerö IF

Öckerö IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Öckerö IF, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Öckerö IF could be found in Group 1 together with Gamla Upsala SK, FH and San Francisco Aftershocks. Öckerö IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against HK with 4-5. In the Final, Vikingur won over IFK Kalmar and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Öckerö comes from Öckerö which lies approximately 18 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Öckerö does also provide 62 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Ytterby IS, Qviding FIF, Askims IK, Jonsereds IF, Sandarna BK, IK Zenith, Grunden Bois, Utbynäs SK, Azalea BK/Mossens BK and Särö IK).
