Asmara Sport Club

Asmara Sport Club was one of 23 clubs from England that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Asmara Sport Club, 166 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Asmara Sport Club could be found in Group 35 together with US Montesson, IFK Skövde FK and Skillingaryds IS. Asmara Sport Club continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 35. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Furulunds IK with 1-4. In the Final, Norrby IF won over Furulunds IK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Asmara Sport comes from LONDON which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around LONDON does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Josh Evans Soccer School, Foxes FC, The Tactical Specialists FC, Ashtead Colts FC, Escalate Elite FC and European Football Academy).
