La Academia FC

La Academia FC was the only club from Guatemala that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 14B. In addition to La Academia FC, 42 other teams from 9 different countries played in Boys 14B. They were divided into 10 different groups, whereof La Academia FC could be found in Group 6 together with Enebybergs IF, Utbynäs SK 2, Högaborgs BK and Norrtulls SK. La Academia FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Jönköpings Södra IF 2 with 8-9. In the Final, Halmstads BK 2 won over Halmstads BK 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14B. La Academia FC comes from Guatemala which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
