Club Independiente

Club Independiente was one of 16 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Club Independiente, 71 other teams from 12 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Club Independiente could be found in Group 16 together with AS Meudon, GAIS and Kullavik IF. Club Independiente continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Eskilsminne IF with 1-3. In the Final, Eskilsminne IF won over AS Meudon and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. The area around does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Metepec Cracks, Inter Caimanes and Tigres Santa Maria).
