Project Playground FC

Project Playground FC was one of five clubs from South Africa that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Project Playground FC, 166 other teams from 22 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Project Playground FC could be found in Group 16 together with Vallentuna BK 2, IFK Fjärås and Älmhults IF. Project Playground FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against ProGen FC with 0-5. In the Final, Vikingur 1 won over Stjarnan 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Project Playground FC comes from Langa which lies approximately 10000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Project Playground FC, the club The Rainbow Team does also originate from the area around Langa.
