Värpinge IF

Värpinge IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Värpinge IF, 150 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 37 different groups, whereof Värpinge IF could be found in Group 20 together with Mölndal Fotboll 1, Prep Schools Lions White, Concordia Eschersheim and E.C. Jordanésia. Värpinge IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Qviding FIF 1 with 0-3. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over AS Meudon and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 14. Värpinge comes from Lund which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lund does also provide 40 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Trollenäs IF, Hörby FF, FIFH, Furulunds IK, Linero IF, Oxie SK, Lunds BoiS/Torns IF, Uppåkra IF, Dösjöbro IF and IF Limhamn/Bunkeflo).
