EDY Sport Enrichment Center

EDY Sport Enrichment Center was one of three clubs from Ethiopia that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to EDY Sport Enrichment Center, 84 other teams from 19 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof EDY Sport Enrichment Center could be found in Group 3 together with Eskilstuna Södra FF, SV Rugenbergen and Rönninge Salem Fotboll. EDY Sport Enrichment Center continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Enebybergs IF with 0-7. In the Final, Groß Flottbek won over Altona 93 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 17. EDY Sport Enrichment Center comes from Addis Ababa which lies approximately 5900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Addis Ababa does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Natanim Football Club and Haleta Academy).
