Våmbs IF

Våmbs IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Våmbs IF, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Våmbs IF could be found in Group 20 together with Anderslövs BoIK, Gauldal FK/Melhus IL and IFK Nyköping. Våmbs IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Steel Soccer PA with 0-2. In the Final, Vikingur won over IFK Kalmar and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Våmbs comes from Skövde which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Skövde does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Kinnarp-Slutarps IF, Götene IF, IFK Tidaholm/Ekedalens SK, Falköpings KIK, IFK Mariestad, Jula BK/MBK, Ulvåkers IF, Skövde AIK, IFK Skövde FK and Skövde Kvinnliga IK).
