Gislaveds IS

Gislaveds IS was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Gislaveds IS, 166 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Gislaveds IS could be found in Group 7 together with Re Fotballklubb 2, CD Inter Vista Alegre 1 and Dösjöbro IF. Gislaveds IS continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Hanvikens SK with 6-7. In the Final, Vikingur 1 won over Stjarnan 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Gislaveds IS comes from Gislaved which lies approximately 110 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gislaved does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Limmareds IF, Skillingaryds IS and IFK Värnamo).
