Diamond FC was one of two clubs from Kenya that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Diamond FC, 84 other teams from 19 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Diamond FC could be found in Group 12 together with San Francisco Seals, Munktorps BK and Lindome GIF. Diamond FC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Ashtead Colts FC with 8-9. In the Final, Groß Flottbek won over Altona 93 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 17. Diamond FC comes from Nairobi which lies approximately 6900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Diamond FC, the club Legacy Academy does also originate from the area around Nairobi.
