Haleta Academy

Haleta Academy was one of three clubs from Ethiopia that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Haleta Academy, 152 other teams from 17 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 38 different groups, whereof Haleta Academy could be found in Group 36 together with Djurgårdens IF, SK Sprint-Jeløy 1 and Särö IK. Haleta Academy continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 36. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Onsala BK 1 with 0-3. In the Final, Kortedala IF won over Lillestrøm SK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 13. Haleta Academy comes from ADDIS ABABA which lies approximately 5900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around ADDIS ABABA does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Natanim Football Club and EDY Sport Enrichment Center).
