Vasalunds IF

Vasalunds IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in SEF Trophy. In addition to Vasalunds IF, 31 other teams played in SEF Trophy. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Vasalunds IF could be found in Group 8 together with Trelleborgs FF, IK Sirius FK and IFK Norrköping. Vasalunds IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Kalmar FF with 0-5. In the Final, Kalmar FF won over Degerfors IF and became the winner of Play off B in SEF Trophy. Vasalunds comes from Solna which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Solna does also provide 65 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Maj FC, EKF Täby, Sickla IF, FC Djursholm, Tyresö FF, Pershagens SK, Enskede IK, Djurgårdens IF, Värmdö IF and Skogås/Trångsunds FF).
