San Francisco Lions

San Francisco Lions was one of 31 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to San Francisco Lions, 117 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof San Francisco Lions could be found in Group 14 together with Tyresö FF, Älvängens IK and IFK Kristinehamn. San Francisco Lions continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Älvsborg FF with 2-4. In the Final, Nässjö FF won over Lyn Fotball and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. San Francisco Lions comes from San Francisco which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around San Francisco does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Marin FC, San Francisco Seals and San Francisco Aftershocks).
