San Francisco Aftershocks

San Francisco Aftershocks was one of 31 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to San Francisco Aftershocks, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof San Francisco Aftershocks could be found in Group 1 together with Gamla Upsala SK, FH and Öckerö IF. San Francisco Aftershocks continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Smedby AIS with 0-1. In the Final, Arna-Bjørnar won over Lillestrøm SK and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. San Francisco Aftershocks comes from San Francisco which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around San Francisco does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Marin FC, San Francisco Seals and San Francisco Lions).
