FC Black Stars Basel

FC Black Stars Basel was one of two clubs from Switzerland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to FC Black Stars Basel, 84 other teams from 19 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof FC Black Stars Basel could be found in Group 15 together with TSV Buchholz 08, Hestrafors IF, Dalkurd FF and Norrtulls SK 1. FC Black Stars Basel continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Tromsø IL with 1-3. In the Final, AFC Eskilstuna won over Dalkurd FF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 17. FC Black Stars Basel comes from Basel which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
