GIF Nike

GIF Nike was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to GIF Nike, 166 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof GIF Nike could be found in Group 28 together with Onsala BK, Vita Football and ProGen FC. GIF Nike continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 28. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Cefor San Luis with 2-4. In the Final, Norrby IF won over Furulunds IK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. GIF Nike comes from Lomma which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lomma does also provide 39 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Trollenäs IF, Hörby FF, FIFH, Furulunds IK, Linero IF, Oxie SK, Lunds BoiS/Torns IF, Uppåkra IF, Dösjöbro IF and IF Limhamn/Bunkeflo).
