Skogsbygdens IF

Skogsbygdens IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Skogsbygdens IF, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Skogsbygdens IF could be found in Group 11 together with Näsets SK, Euro Sports Brasil and Frösö IF. Skogsbygdens IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Timrå with 1-6. In the Final, Vikingur won over IFK Kalmar and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Skogsbygdens comes from Vårgårda which lies approximately 49 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vårgårda does also provide 15 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Älvängens IK, Byttorps IF, Stenkullen GoIK, Jonsereds IF, Lerums IS, Lekstorps IF, Norrby IF, Hestrafors IF, Gerdskens BK and Holmalunds IF).
