Atletico Echegaray

Atletico Echegaray was one of 16 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Atletico Echegaray, 207 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Atletico Echegaray could be found in Group 25 together with Ale United, Örebro SK and Swindon Town FITC. Atletico Echegaray continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Djurgårdens IF with 6-7. In the Final, Portobello CFA Thistle won over Lillestrøm SK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Atletico Echegaray comes from Mexico which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
