Mexico United FC

Mexico United FC was one of 16 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Mexico United FC, 82 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Mexico United FC could be found in Group 19 together with Lillestrøm SK, IFK Umeå and IFK Fjärås. Mexico United FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Smedby AIS with 5-6. In the Final, Arna-Bjørnar won over Lillestrøm SK and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Mexico United FC comes from MEXICO which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
