FC KR/Grotta

FC KR/Grotta was one of 14 clubs from Iceland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to FC KR/Grotta, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof FC KR/Grotta could be found in Group 5 together with Malmslätts AIK, Walddörfer SV and Ösmo GIF FK. FC KR/Grotta continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Arna-Bjørnar with 0-9. In the Final, Arna-Bjørnar won over Lillestrøm SK and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. The area around does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Njardvik, Fylkir, HK, Leiknir, FH, Breidablik, Stjarnan, Fjolnir, Keflavik and Vikingur).
