Skillingaryds IS

Skillingaryds IS was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Skillingaryds IS, 166 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Skillingaryds IS could be found in Group 35 together with US Montesson, Asmara Sport Club and IFK Skövde FK. Skillingaryds IS continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 35. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Rågsveds IF with 1-2. In the Final, Vikingur 1 won over Stjarnan 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Skillingaryds IS comes from Skillingaryd which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Skillingaryd does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Gislaveds IS and IFK Värnamo).
