IK Sleipner

IK Sleipner was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to IK Sleipner, 207 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof IK Sleipner could be found in Group 4 together with FC New England Weston, SG FCU - Kisdorf 1 and Backatorp IF. IK Sleipner continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against E.C. Pinheiros White with 0-1. In the Final, Maj FC won over Kärra Dragons and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. Sleipner comes from Norrköping which lies approximately 270 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Norrköping does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Smedby AIS, Eneby BK, IFK Norrköping and Linköpings FC).
