Orust FC

Orust FC was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Orust FC, 33 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Orust FC could be found in Group 2 together with VGA Saint Maur Feminin 1, IFK Fjärås and Vänersborgs IF. Orust FC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Kristianstads DFF with 2-3. In the Final, Sundsvalls DFF won over Viggbyholms IK FF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Orust FC comes from Ellös which lies approximately 50 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Ellös does also provide 20 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Älvängens IK, Ytterby IS, Trollhättans FK, Stenungsunds IF, Ale United, Vallens IF, Skoftebyns IF, IK Kongahälla, Hermansby IF and Vänersborgs IF).
