Vittsjö GIK

Vittsjö GIK was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Vittsjö GIK, 117 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Vittsjö GIK could be found in Group 4 together with Piteå IF/MSSK 1, Breidablik 2 and Hammarby IF FF. Vittsjö GIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Storfors AIK with 1-2. In the Final, Nässjö FF won over Lyn Fotball and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Vittsjö GIK comes from Vittsjö which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vittsjö does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (IFK Hässleholm, Älmhults IF, IFK Knislinge, IFK Osby, Markaryds IF, Broby IF and Vinslövs IF).
