IFK Borgholm

IFK Borgholm was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to IFK Borgholm, 117 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof IFK Borgholm could be found in Group 26 together with Fortuna FF, Kullavik IF and KFV Segeberg. IFK Borgholm continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 26. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Rönnskär Railcare IF / Clemensnäs IF with 2-4. In the Final, Nässjö FF won over Lyn Fotball and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. IFK Borgholm comes from Borgholm which lies approximately 300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Borgholm does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (IFK Kalmar, Hossmo BK, Lindsdals IF, Smedby BoIK, Kalmar FF, Mönsterås GoIF, Kalmar Södra IF and Färjestadens GoIF).
