Järvenpään Palloseura

Järvenpään Palloseura was one of five clubs from Finland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Järvenpään Palloseura, 117 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Järvenpään Palloseura could be found in Group 27 together with Västra Karups IF, Stureby SK 1 and Hovås-Billdal IF. Järvenpään Palloseura continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 27. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Hammarby IF FF with 1-2. In the Final, FC New England won over Hammarby IF FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Järvenpään Palloseura comes from Järvenpää which lies approximately 810 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Järvenpää does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Special Olympics Finland and LPS).
