Skogstorps GoIF

Skogstorps GoIF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Skogstorps GoIF, 47 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 11 different groups, whereof Skogstorps GoIF could be found in Group 7 together with Viking FK, Ulvåkers IF and Cadamu GDL. Skogstorps GoIF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Chesterfield FC with 0-2. In the Final, Stureby FF won over Södra Sandby IF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 17. Skogstorps GoIF comes from Eskilstuna which lies approximately 320 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Eskilstuna does also provide 15 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: AFC Eskilstuna, Västerås IK, Eskilstuna United DFF, IFK Eskilstuna, BK Sport, Norrby IK, IK Franke, Torshälla-Nyby IS, Gideonsbergs IF and IFK Västerås FK).
