Smedby BoIK

Smedby BoIK was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Smedby BoIK, 71 other teams from 12 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Smedby BoIK could be found in Group 18 together with JSC Pitray-Olier Paris 2 White, Backatorp IF and Mossens BK. Smedby BoIK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against GAIS with 0-2. In the Final, Götaholm BK won over GAIS and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Smedby BoIK comes from Kalmar which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kalmar does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (IFK Kalmar, Hossmo BK, Lindsdals IF, Kalmar FF, IFK Borgholm, Kalmar Södra IF, Färjestadens GoIF and Möre BK).
