Holmalunds IF

Holmalunds IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Holmalunds IF, 84 other teams from 20 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Holmalunds IF could be found in Group 10 together with Älvsborg FF, Chalgrove Cavaliers FC, TSV Glinde and Smart Football Marsa 1. Holmalunds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Dalkurd FF with 5-6. In the Final, AFC Eskilstuna won over Dalkurd FF and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 17. Holmalunds comes from Alingsås which lies approximately 41 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Alingsås does also provide 30 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Älvängens IK, Ytterby IS, Byttorps IF, Stenkullen GoIK, Jonsereds IF, Grunden Bois, Utbynäs SK, Kärra Dragons, Sävedalens IF and Partille IF).
