Njurunda IK

Njurunda IK was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Njurunda IK, 117 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Njurunda IK could be found in Group 7 together with U. de Chile, Danmarks IF and Emmaboda IS. Njurunda IK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Team Odense Q with 1-5. In the Final, FC New England won over Hammarby IF FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Njurunda comes from Kvissleby which lies approximately 590 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kvissleby does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (GIF Sundsvall, Sidsjö-Böle IF, Sundsvalls DFF, IFK Timrå, Kungsnäs/Sidsjö-Böle and Selånger SK).
