IFK Österåker

IFK Österåker was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to IFK Österåker, 152 other teams from 18 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 38 different groups, whereof IFK Österåker could be found in Group 35 together with FC Rosengård, Kungsbacka IF Vit and Uran Lukowica. IFK Österåker continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 35. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against SK Sprint-Jeløy 2 with 0-2. In the Final, Gardanne Biver FC won over IFK Göteborg and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 13. IFK Österåker comes from Åkersberga which lies approximately 410 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Åkersberga does also provide 60 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Maj FC, EKF Täby, Sickla IF, FC Djursholm, Tyresö FF, Enskede IK, Djurgårdens IF, Värmdö IF, Skogås/Trångsunds FF and Hanvikens SK).
