Portobello CFA Thistle

Portobello CFA Thistle was one of two clubs from Scotland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Portobello CFA Thistle, 207 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Portobello CFA Thistle could be found in Group 36 together with IFK Aspudden-Tellus, FH 1 and Lunds BK 2. Portobello CFA Thistle made it to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 36. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Lillestrøm SK, which they won with 3-2. Thereby Portobello CFA Thistle won the entire Play off B in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2022. Portobello CFA Thistle comes from Ed which lies approximately 930 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Portobello CFA Thistle, the club Portobello Community FC does also originate from the area around Ed.
