Melleruds IF

Melleruds IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Melleruds IF, 207 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Melleruds IF could be found in Group 12 together with IFK Knislinge, Maryland United FC and Sandsbro AIK 1. Melleruds IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Sandsbro AIK 2 with 0-5. In the Final, Maj FC won over Kärra Dragons and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. Melleruds comes from Mellerud which lies approximately 110 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Melleruds IF, the club Vänersborgs IF does also originate from the area around Mellerud.
