Ängby IF

Ängby IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Ängby IF, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Ängby IF could be found in Group 16 together with SV Eutingen, Röbäcks IF and Mölndal Fotboll. Ängby IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Gamla Upsala SK with 5-6. In the Final, Vikingur won over IFK Kalmar and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Ängby comes from Bromma which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bromma does also provide 67 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Maj FC, EKF Täby, Sickla IF, FC Djursholm, Tyresö FF, Pershagens SK, Enskede IK, Djurgårdens IF, Värmdö IF and Skogås/Trångsunds FF).
