Gamla Upsala SK

Gamla Upsala SK was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Gamla Upsala SK, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Gamla Upsala SK could be found in Group 1 together with FH, San Francisco Aftershocks and Öckerö IF. Gamla Upsala SK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Steel Soccer PA with 0-1. In the Final, Vikingur won over IFK Kalmar and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Gamla Upsala SK comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 410 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Hisingsbacka FC, Vaksala SK, Danmarks IF, Bälinge IF, Storvreta IK, IF VP Uppsala, Märsta IK, IK Sirius FK and Dalkurd FF).
