Sickla IF

Sickla IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Sickla IF, 117 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Sickla IF could be found in Group 11 together with Backatorp IF, HSC Hannover and FK Karlskrona/Rödeby AIF. Sickla IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against FC New England with 0-5. In the Final, FC New England won over Hammarby IF FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Sickla comes from Nacka which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Nacka does also provide 65 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Maj FC, EKF Täby, FC Djursholm, Tyresö FF, Pershagens SK, Enskede IK, Djurgårdens IF, Värmdö IF, Skogås/Trångsunds FF and Hanvikens SK).
