Mariebo IK

Mariebo IK was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Mariebo IK, 207 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Mariebo IK could be found in Group 17 together with ATS Buntentor, European Football Academy and Lerums IS. Mariebo IK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against IFK Eskilstuna Blå with 0-1. In the Final, Maj FC won over Kärra Dragons and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. Mariebo comes from Jönköping which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Jönköping does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Nässjö FF, Jönköpings Södra IF, Husqvarna FF and Habo IF).
