Linero IF

Linero IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Linero IF, 207 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Linero IF could be found in Group 27 together with FC New England, Älta IF 2 and V. Frölunda IF. Linero IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 27. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Vimmerby IF with 0-1. In the Final, Portobello CFA Thistle won over Lillestrøm SK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. Linero comes from Lund which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lund does also provide 38 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Among others: Trollenäs IF, Hörby FF, FIFH, Furulunds IK, Oxie SK, Lunds BoiS/Torns IF, Uppåkra IF, Dösjöbro IF, IF Limhamn/Bunkeflo and Lilla Torg FF).
