Västanfors IF

Västanfors IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Västanfors IF, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Västanfors IF could be found in Group 13 together with The Rainbow Team, Älvsjö AIK FF and Habo IF. Västanfors IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Hittarps IK with 0-6. In the Final, Vikingur won over IFK Kalmar and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Västanfors comes from Fagersta which lies approximately 340 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
