IFK Kalmar

IFK Kalmar was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to IFK Kalmar, 82 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof IFK Kalmar could be found in Group 8 together with FC New England, IF Brommapojkarna, Stjarnan 1 and Skellefteå FF. IFK Kalmar made it to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 8. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Vikingur with 0-1. Thereby IFK Kalmar finished second in G16 Play off B during Gothia Cup 2022. IFK Kalmar comes from Kalmar which lies approximately 290 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kalmar does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Hossmo BK, Lindsdals IF, Smedby BoIK, Kalmar FF, IFK Borgholm, Kalmar Södra IF, Färjestadens GoIF and Möre BK).
