Götene IF

Götene IF was one of 400 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2022. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Götene IF, 152 other teams from 18 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 38 different groups, whereof Götene IF could be found in Group 7 together with GAIS 1, Concordia Eschersheim and Intercups MX. Götene IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Hässelby SK FF 1 with 2-5. In the Final, Kortedala IF won over Lillestrøm SK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 13. Götene comes from Götene which lies approximately 120 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Götene does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2022 (Saleby IF/Trässberg/NorraHärene, IFK Mariestad, Jula BK/MBK, Ulvåkers IF, Skövde AIK, IFK Skövde FK, Skövde Kvinnliga IK, Våmbs IF, Råda BK and IFK Skövde).
